Against the backdrop of an increasingly diverse society on the one hand and a political polarisation on the other, the question arises as to whether culture fulfils its role of connecting, identity-building, and integrating, or if it has failed to do so. Or, does it not have such a role at all?

The panel will not only examine the social role of culture, but primarily offer an outlook on the specific requirements and measures that need to be undertaken, not only by politics but above all by culture itself, in order to fulfil its social role.
